Douglas World Cruisers
On April 6, 1924 the Army Air Service departed Seattle,
Washington with four Douglas World Cruiser aircraft for an around the
world
record attempt. After 371 flight hours, two of the
four aircraft completed the flight, returning to Seattle on September 28.
