On June 1st, 2000, pilot Robert Ragozzino departed Oklahoma City eastbound in his highly modified 1942 450 Super Stearman.

On November 17th, 2000, Robert and his Stearman biplane returned to Oklahoma City.​

With the completion of this flight, a new world record was set for the only open cockpit solo circumnavigation of the earth.
